Growing up in Wisconsin, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt was a huge Green Bay Packers fan. So when the Texans and Packers held a joint practice in Green Bay on Monday, Watt was thrilled to participate in an old Packers tradition where players ride children’s bicycles to the field. Only Watt didn’t make it very far, because he broke the bike. “The bike that I was using was not equipped for a 290-pound man, and the seat broke off,” he told ESPN. “We have purchased a new bike for the boy. So I apologize for that.” As for how he felt about participating in the rite of summer, Watt said, “It was pretty awesome until I broke the bike.”
