For anyone who thinks the NFL’s decision to suspend headhunting linebacker Vontaze Burfict for a year is harsh, pro football has nothing on pro golf in South Korea. To wit, the Korean Tour just suspended money leader Bio Kim for flipping off a group of fans during a tournament last weekend. According to ESPN, Kim reacted angrily when a cellphone camera went off during his downswing. He wound up driving the ball a mere 100 yards, and proceeded to flip fans the bird and slam his driver into the ground. (After all that, Kim wound up winning the tournament.) In a statement, the Korean Tour explained that Kim “damaged the dignity of a golfer with etiquette violation and inappropriate behavior.” For good measure, the tour also fined him $8,350.
