British chef Gary Usher set off a Twitter storm Monday after posting that he “couldn’t be friends” with anyone who hung a towel through the handle of their oven door, or hung a dishcloth over their kitchen tap.The Daily Mail reports that the award-winning chef was swarmed with comments, some nice, some angry, and some supportive, but most were confused and just wanted to know where to put the towel/dishcloth. “This is giving me such anxiety,” one poster wrote. “Where should we be keeping the tea towel?” Usher eventually tried to douse the flames, adding a passive-aggressive post that read, “Look I don’t want to drag this out cause I know it’s quite upsetting for a lot of us, but I just wanted to tell the people that leave their cleaning utensils in the sink how much less I now think of you all. They live under the sink not in it. Ffs.”
