Country Time Vows to Cover Fines for “Illegal” Lemonade Stands

Authorities are being forced to shut down kid’s unpermitted lemonade stands!

The most recent story out of Denver involves three brothers, ages 2 to 6, who were forced to shut down their lemonade stand after vendors at a nearby arts festival complained. The stand did not have a temporary vending permit in line with the city ordinance, so police had no choice.

But don’t worry, Country Time Lemonade is here to help!  Last week the beverage brand announced the creation of a $60,000 “legal-ade” defense fund that will cover the cost of both lemonade-stand permits and fines this summer up to $300 apiece. “When life gives you arcane laws, make lemonade,” says the narrator in  Country Time’s YouTube video announcing the fund. The clip also features an actor playing an attorney who takes a sip of lemonade and intones, “Tastes like justice.”
